Find your greatness

I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel very great very often. In fact, I don’t know if I ever feel “great.” Yet, I know I should recognize and acknowledge the “great” things about me. We all should learn to acknowledge those things in us that make us who we are, but it’s hard to see the value in them sometimes.

Are we even aware of them? How do we find them? Everyone else seems to be smart, organized, caring or funny.

The book, “You Are A Badass”, by Jen Sincero gives us some steps to take to begin to see the greatness that is in reality there, but just gone unnoticed. One idea she suggests is to drown yourself in AFFIRMATIONS. I am worthy! I am strong! Figure out what you need to hear and say it to yourself on a regular basis.

Another idea is to DO THINGS YOU LOVE TO DO. Are you actually enjoying the people, places and foods, for example, in your life? Take a look and see where you might be letting yourself down. If you’re the kind of person who puts everyone else’s needs first, start putting yourself up front too. Those who are used to your personal assistance, will still love you, I promise!

Some other ideas are: STOP using SELF-DEPRECATING HUMOR, STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS, START FORGIVING AND LOVING YOURSELF and LET THE LOVE IN from others!

Doing these things routinely will help you discover the good…maybe even the GREAT…in you!

More on this in my December 1st blog, “Let the Love In!”
